About Us

Welcome to Mac|Life!

Susie Ochs
Executive Editor

Susie Ochs has been into technology since she started writing BASIC programs at a summer day camp for nerdish children. As executive editor of Mac|Life, she heads up the reviews section, writes and edits features, and is the resident choreographer and Twitter evangelist. Her work has appeared in Mac|Life, MacAddict, MacFormat, Tap!, TechRadar.com, MaximumTech, and @GAMER.

Susie is into music, sports, watching too much TV, gaming, and food trucks. You can follow her on Twitter at @sfsooz, but be prepared for lame jokes and babbling about burritos.

Florence Ion
Managing Editor

Florence Ion first learned the typing trade on a Macintosh Performa 460. She then mastered the mechanics of third-person shooters and top-down RPGs on a Pentium II Windows machine. As managing editor of Mac|Life, she makes sure things are going smoothly and that you have a magazine in your mailbox every month. She's also the online editor for Maclife.com and usually writes about Mac hardware, like hard drives and input devices. She's also lovingly referred to as the "bag lady" for her ever-expanding knowledge of laptop and camera bags and iPhone and iPad cases. Her work has appeared in Mac|Life, Maximum PC, and PC Gamer.

In her spare time, Florence spends a lot of time on the yoga mat or wandering around town for udon. She can usually be found down by the water or tweeting @ohthatflo from her Android phone.

Robin Dick
Art Director

Robin arrived San Francisco in 1988, beginning her West Coast creative adventure at Miller Freeman Publishing, before moving on to Wells Fargo Bank Communication Arts and Levi Strauss. She eventually partnered up with two of her best pals to create Unified Design Labs, a design studio providing a wide variety of design solutions, with an emphasis on branding. Fast forward to her Art Director position at Mac|Life where her job is to make sure the Mac|Life brand has a clean, informative, and cohesive look, as well as directing photo shoots, prop research, styling, and all the design fun stuff.

When she's not policing the brand, you'll find her in movie theatres, flea markets, the beach, and airports.

You can follow her on Twitter @robin314.

Cody Cardarelli
CMS Specialist/Video Editor

No one knows for sure when Cody took over as CMS Specialist, some might say that he may always have been, just unstuck in time. In addition to uploading material from the magazine and making online content sparkle, he edits and directs The Mac|Life Show, proving that his education was worth more than just bits of Terry Gilliam trivia. He can be found behind the cubicle wall listening to sounds of metal guys yelling at him in odd time signatures. Or listening to baseball. He loves baseball.
