Inspired by the shape of head gaskets on an automobile's engine, the Gasket Brushes Aluminum case is a unique looking case that's sure to turn a few heads. Its brushed metal looks industrious, and its rounded edges have that handcrafted look.

While the id America case looks great from the back, from the front it looks almost incomplete. The case snaps on to the outer metal edges of the phone, which makes it easy to snap on and off, but could make it hard for the case to stay on when the phone drops to the floor. Okay, you want protection? Here it is. The Incipio Delta hardshell case is double coated. The top layer is a polycarbonate plastic exterior and the layer that hugs the iPhone is a shock-absorbing silicon shell. It's easy to put on your device and when you snap the two parts together it's almost as if they're one entity.

Once you place your phone inside your pocket with this case on, you might be feeling a little bulk there. But if you've got a bag, you can easily drop it in without any worry about your iPhone feeling the brunt of it. The bouncy, silicone second layer also protects against unexpected falls. Targus Vucomplete+ Cover
The one thing I've always wanted in life was a non-slip grip on my iPad 2 case. Seriously. The last thing you want is a case that slips out of your fingers and ends up with your device face down on the floor. I hate that, and it always happens to me a few days after I purchase the device. Targus' Vucomplete+ keeps slips from happening and works in conjunction with your SmartCover.

The Vucomplete+ is a great back cover for the iPad 2. Its rubberized texture means your tablet has a chance if it hits the floor. And when you fold your attached SmartCover into a stand, the rubber texture holds nicely with the cover's suede finish. However, there are no magnets on the back cover case to keep the flap open while you're reading an e-book. For shame, but at least it's a really durable back cover. ($29.99 | 3.5/5)

Vintcase
We're pretty sure that if iPads were around during Hemingway's time, he probably would have used this iPad case instead of a Moleskine. The Vintcase helps your iPad 2 embrace that vintage look despite the modern technology contained inside. Each Vintcase is handcrafted in Spain (ooh, la la! -- wait, that's French) out of real leather -- yes, real leather folks! It's so real, you can smell how potent and real it is right out of the box.

As far as functionality, this case isn't more than a looker. The case closes nicely and keeps your iPad safe from harm's way, but it takes too many swings of the leather strap to unravel the case, and then you can't even prop it up to watch a movie or take notes. This case is best suited for the style conscious and not the utilitarian business types. But I'll hand it to Vintcase -- it is really gorgeous in person. ($79 | 3/5)
