Untethered Greenpois0n Jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 Now Available
With its promise of bringing personal hot spot support to the iPhone and returning the orientation switch to the iPad, there's good reason for people to be excited about the impending release of iOS 4.3. For those of us who refuse to wait for Apple to provide our iOS devices with additional functionality, the untethered Greenpois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 is now available for immediate download. Fight the power!
Cult of Mac reported that the latest version of Greenpois0n dropped last night, bringing with it the ability to run an untethered jailbreak of iPhones, iPads and iPod touches--meaning that there's no need to connect your device to a computer every time you're required to reboot. The greenpois0n desktop client can be found here. Unfortunately, the site has been freezing up most of the morning due to the huge international demand for the jailbreak. If you're interested in jailbreaking your device--and there are a lot of reasons you should be--having patience while you wait for a chance to download the software is definitely a virtue. Unfortunately for Windows and Linux users, the jailbreak is currently available only to those of us lucky enough to be rocking a Mac.
Just a reminder: While jailbreaking is legal, doing so puts you in danger of voiding your Apple warranty, and in an extreme situation, could turn your iOS device into a paperweight. Always proceed with caution!

Can't get past the "getting sources" screen on Loader. What's wrong? Please help. Also, go to bit.ly/fDqNij to get it.

Matthew,
It could very well be that the sources aren't available due to the high amount of traffic currently being experienced by those trying to use the loader service at the same time. If you continue to have trouble, there are a few tutorials out there that will show you how to load Cydia on to your iOS device through alternate means. Good luck and thanks for the link!
